Rohlig SUUS Logistics has joined Operation Clean Sweep. The initiative is spearheaded by the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) and the American Chemistry Council (ACC), who have joined forces to educate businesses on how to prevent uncontrolled plastic spills and emissions into the ground and water.
We deal with plastic waste every day. Particularly hazardous to the environment are plastic fragments, powder, granules or flakes, which are often mistaken for food by animals. When ingested, they cause difficulties in breathing, swallowing or digesting food, resulting in death. The groups most at risk are birds, turtles and fish.
SUUS has joined the campaign and intends to carry out an internal audit of its processes where plastic waste may be generated and to take educational and preventive measures.
